Teide Masca (Grand Tour)

Excursion through Teide National Park, Masca and the north coast of Tenerife.

On this tour we will spend a full day touring the most representative places in the north of Tenerife.

Our first visit will be to the Teide National Park, located in the heart of Tenerife and home to the highest peak in Spain: the volcano El Teide. Here we will stop for about 30 minutes to admire the impressive volcanic landscapes of Las Cañadas del Teide, not forgetting the emblematic Roques de García.

After this visit, we will descend to Icod de los Vinos where we will have the opportunity to contemplate the famous Drago Milenario, which is said to be more than 800 years old. You will have free time to have lunch on your own or enjoy the Canarian gastronomy tasting one of the menus that we recommend in some of the restaurants in the area.

The next destination is Garachico, a colourful coastal village with a history marked by a volcanic eruption in 1706. Here we will stroll through the streets of its historic quarter, recognised as a Cultural Heritage Site and one of the most representative of the Canary Islands, and discover emblematic sites such as the natural pools of El Caletón, formed by lava flows, or the Castle of San Miguel, an ancient fortress that defended the town from pirate attacks.

We will follow the route and enter the vibrant nature of the Teno Rural Park until we reach the hamlet of Masca, located between impressive valleys and ravines. Let yourself be surprised by the charm of the traditional architecture of this enclave, declared a Site of Ethnographic and Historical Interest and an Asset of Cultural Interest.

  • Mala experiencia

    No lo recomiendo. El autobús llega tarde 2 horas por un accidente pero durante esas horas operan el resto de autobuses incluso compañeros de la misma compañía al cual intento preguntarle y me ignora completamente. Luego en el autobús la gente van sentadas por separado personas que durante la excursión van junta en lugar de sentarse juntos se cogen cada uno 2 asientos impidiendo que pudiera ir con mi hija, para lo cual tuve que ponerme en la parte trasera del autobús con 3 personas más, a la hora de la comida nos ponen con personas que no conocíamos y no hablan nuestro idioma todo muy incómodo, por no decir que las 2 horas de retraso la perdí del tour pagado porque regresamos a la misma hora pero se me cobró íntegramente como si hubiera estado esas horas de tour y esas horas estuve en una parada de autobús esperando al sol mientras me quemaba… muy desagradable todo la verdad

  • Pros y contras

    Pros: No sé puede negar la habilidad del conductor. El guia era correcto. Contras: Las explicaciones son escasas. Quizás preguntando tú consigas más información sobre fauna,flora,geología,medio de vida.....Otra cosa que es insuficiente es el tiempo para visitar cada pueblo. Tantas curvas y no puedes apenas recorrerlo. El restaurante propuesto ,único accesible desde el autobús no es para nada barato . No recomiendo comer allí en absoluto. Mejor toma algo en la cafetería ...

    Overall, We had great experience. The tour is indeed best one. The guide was amazing and really happy with the amount of information he has shared during the complete tour. I won’t hesitate to recommend.

  • Excursión Teide Masca Garachic
    La excursión en general no estuvo mal aunque yo creo que el valle de Masca sobra pues es un camino muy tortuoso y peligroso para hacerlo en bus. El guía muy bien. El restaurante donde paramos a comer bastante mal,se encontraron una cucaracha en la comida.Afortunadamente yo llevaba un bocadillo pero eso no se puede consentir.
