Live a private and exclusive experience at the world’s largest solar observatory

This excursion is designed for true astronomy enthusiasts who wish to enjoy personalized attention, without rush, and in an intimate atmosphere.

You will begin the experience at the Teide Observatory, with a private guided visit in the afternoon. Your Starlight guide, an expert in night-sky observation, will explain in a close and engaging way the importance of the Canary skies, how the telescopes work, and the most outstanding projects of the Canary Islands Astrophysics Institute. You will also observe the sun as never before, discovering sunspots and flares through a specialized telescope.

Afterwards, you will enjoy a unique sunset from the Observatory itself, where the sun hides behind majestic Mount Teide and the sky is painted with colors illuminating the volcano and the ocean.

At nightfall, we will move to the base of the Teide Cable Car, far from any light pollution. There you will take part in an exclusive astronomical observation, both with the naked eye and through long-range telescopes. From this privileged spot, 83 of the 88 officially recognized constellations can be observed.

You will discover stars, planets, galaxies, and clusters as never before, while your guide teaches you to interpret the celestial map and shares with you fascinating facts about the universe. An unrepeatable experience in one of the most spectacular national parks on the planet.

Restrictions:

  • Access will be denied to those wearing open shoes (sandals), shorts, or short sleeves. Proper clothing is essential due to low temperatures during the activity.

  • Astronomic Tour is not recommended for people with physical conditions in general (anemia, heart disease, respiratory problems, etc.) or with reduced mobility, as transfers involve walking on paths and stairs.

  • Children under 8 years are not admitted for sunset and night activities.

  • You must have sufficient knowledge of the language in which the visit is conducted to follow the guide’s explanations.

  • Eating during the activity is not allowed; a stop will be made for food.

  • No animals allowed.

For private activities, the date may be changed or the activity cancelled free of charge up to 72 hours before the activity. After this period, cancellation will incur a charge of 50% of the amount. If the cancellation occurs less than 24 hours in advance, 100% of the amount will be retained. Up to 3 changes may be made.If weather conditions prevent the full activity from taking place, the full amount will be refunded. If weather conditions prevent astronomical observation, a proportional refund will be made.
