In this excursion you will discover the essence of Tenerife in one single day. You will visit places full of culture and history.

This excursion gives you the opportunity to get to know the essence of Tenerife in just one day.

We will start the day by visiting Candelaria. This coastal town is home to the Basilica of Candelaria, one of the most important places of worship in Tenerife. On the seashore you can admire the imposing bronze statues commemorating the ancient Guanche Kings of Tenerife.

The excursion continues in the Historic-Artistic Site of La Villa de La Orotava. The cobbled streets of its historic quarter will take us to places full of charm and culture such as La Casa de Los Balcones, the Town Hall Square or the Church of Nuestra Señora de La Concepción.

We will continue our journey through the north of Tenerife until we reach Garachico, a charming coastal town, whose history is marked by a volcanic eruption in 1706. We will stroll through its historic centre, declared a Site of Cultural Interest, and visit such emblematic places as the natural pools of El Caletón, formed by volcanic lava, or the Castle of San Miguel, an ancient fortress that protected the town from pirate attacks.

Here you will have free time to have lunch on your own or taste the Canarian gastronomy in one of the restaurants we recommend.

After this visit, we will enter the Teno Rural Park where we will enjoy its impressive natural landscapes. Its winding roads will take us to Masca, a hamlet surrounded by spectacular cliffs that preserves its traditional Canarian architecture.

  • Viel gefahren, wenig gesehen.
    Leider kam der Bus schon eine halbe Stunde zu spät, so dass es noch enger wurde, viel zu besichtigen. Es blieb überall viel zu wenig Zeit. Candelaria hatte ich schon gesehen, da konnte ich in Ruhe einen Kaffee trinken. Aber die Empfehlung des Guides, nach der Besichtigung der Kirche einen Kaffee zu trinken, wäre gar nicht möglich gewesen. Der Altstadtbummel in La Orotava war schön, der hat mir gefallen. In La Garachico waren wir essen und es blieb wieder kaum Zeit, die schöne Stadt zu besichtigen. Es reichte lediglich für ein paar Schnappschüsse. Das Restaurant hatte eine sehr schöne Sicht, aber ich habe auf Teneriffa schon besser und günstiger gegessen. Am Schlimmsten fand ich aber, das wir La Masca nicht besichtigt haben, weil dort ein Bus quer stand und wir deshalb nicht hätten durchfahren können. Wir befanden uns aber bereits nur 15 Minuten entfernt und hätten hin und wieder zurück fahren können. Sicher wären wir dann eine Stunde später zu Hause angekommen. Aber so stand es im Programm und das war der eigentliche Grund, warum ich die Tour gebucht hatte. Einen Ersatz gab es auch nicht, lediglich einen geschlossenen Aussichtspunkt, bei dem man ein paar Bilder durch die Scheibe eines Restaurants machen konnte. So fand ich die Tour insgesamt sehr enttäuschend. Viel Fahrzeit, wenig gesehen. Vielleicht sollte man einfach früher losfahren.

  • A day tour of the Island

    The trip was nice to discover the main places in the East and North of the Island. The guide Fonso was fully professional, kind, fun and gave us plenty of interesting informations regarding each places we visited. The driver Victor was fun and a good experienced driver, especially while driving on the Masca roads. I would definitely recommend the day tour!

    Lots to see and this tour is a great way to do it. Driver and tour guide were excellent.

    Excellent way to see the Island and learn about it. Guide very knowledgeable and excellent language skills. Driver skills excellent- especially on mountain roads to/ from Masca. Lunch at Garachisco delightful and excellent value.
