Discover the Teide National Park on this full-day excursion and take the cable car up to 3,550 metres!
Discover the Teide National Park, the most visited in Europe, on this guided tour that includes tickets for the cable car ride up and down. Explore the impressive volcanic landscapes of Las Cañadas del Teide accompanied by an official guide, while you learn about its history and geological formation.
Teide, at 3,718 metres, is the highest peak in Spain and the third highest volcano on the planet measured from the seabed. Its geological history goes back hundreds of thousands of years, with successive eruptions that have shaped the landscape of Las Cañadas del Teide, where you will find lava flows from different eras and spectacular rock formations.
From the top cable car station, you can choose between three viewpoints and trails to admire the landscape:
La Rambleta viewpoint - Panoramic views of Siete Cañadas and the Ucanca Valley.
Sendero de La Fortaleza - Perfect for contemplating the north of Tenerife with its forests and cliffs.
Pico Viejo Viewpoint Trail - Breathtaking views of the 800 metre diameter crater of Pico Viejo and the neighbouring islands.
With your booking, you will have free access to the Teide Legend digital audio guide, available in 8 languages (Spanish, English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Polish and Dutch). This audio guide will allow you to discover the history, geology and biodiversity of the National Park, as well as to learn in detail about the three trails that start from the top station of the cable car.
The excursion also includes access to the Science and Legend exhibition, located in the Teide Cable Car Visitor Centre. Through this exhibition, you will learn about the last great eruption of Teide, which occurred approximately 1,000 years ago, and how the ancient Guanches interpreted this natural phenomenon as a battle between their gods. With the audio guide, you can explore this exhibition in the language of your choice.
This collective transport tour is the best way to explore Teide in a responsible way, reducing the environmental impact and helping to conserve this World Heritage Site.
